FilmAid Int’l fest to screen ‘Alphabet’

Iran short animation ‘Alphabet’ is to go on screen at the 11th International FilmAid Festival in Kenya.

Iran short animation ‘Alphabet’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 11th edition of International FilmAid Festival in Kenya.

The animation directed by Kianoush Abedi, is to represent Iran at the Kenyan film event.

‘Alphabet’ is a 3D animated production of Iran's Documentary and Experimental Film Center in late 2017.

The 6-minute animated piece depicts a nation that has forgotten the alphabet of living. They cannot see, hear, or speak, but the words are waiting for them eagerly.

FilmAid International is a non-profit humanitarian organization that uses film to educate and entertain displaced people around the world.

FilmAid produces and distributes community-based films on public health and safety issues such as maternal health, HIV, cholera, gender-based violence and conflict resolution.

The 2018 edition of the event is slated for September 3-21, 2018, in the Kenyan cities of Dadaab, Kakuma, and Nairobi. The festival is currently underway.
